Christmas Celebrations and more

It sure is tough to get into the holiday spirit when they don't celebrate Thanksgiving here AND it's summer! We noticed Christmas stuff hit the stores in October and by the mid November there were decorations all over town. We did our shopping in November so we could get packages sent off to the states (hopefully they will arrive in time). It's our 1st Christmas down under...it was 100 degrees (38C) when we ventured out on our first Christmas outing - to see the windows in the downtown department store, Myer. We also do a trial run with Santa and it did not go well...maybe she'll do better with Ms. Claus?
